NEW! Beginning on November 4, be one of the first to experience the most highly-anticipated motion picture event of 2014, INTERSTELLAR: The IMAX Experience as only The Henry Ford IMAX Theatre can show it to you: via REAL 15-perforation/70MM film. The Henry Ford IMAX Theatre is also the only IMAX venue in Southeast Michigan where you can experience 100% the power and magnitude of over 1 hour of footage shot with IMAX 70MM film cameras by director Christopher Nolan. During these scenes, images will completely fill our 62-foot-tall by 85-foot-wide screen (Michigan’s largest) in the classic TRUE IMAX 4:3 aspect ratio, encompassing your entire peripheral vision. This motion picture event is not to be missed!

Special advance premiere show of "INTERSTELLAR: The IMAX Experience" on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Showtime is 8:00 pm only.

When a wormhole (which theoretically can connect widely-separated regions of space) is discovered, explorers and scientists unite to embark on a voyage through it, transcending the limits of human space travel. Among the travelers is a widowed engineer (Matthew McConaughey) who has to decide to leave behind his two children to join the voyage with the goal of saving humanity. Tickets are available online at www.thehenryford.org/imax or by phone through The Henry Ford Call Center (open 7 days a week, 9 am-5 pm) at 313.982.6001. Tickets can be mailed when reservations are made 2 weeks or more in advance. Tickets purchased less than 2 weeks in advance will be held at IMAX Will Call.

Please park in the IMAX Theatre lot on the west side of Henry Ford Museum. Parking is always FREE for IMAX-only guests.

The Henry Ford is located in Dearborn, Michigan on the corner of Village Road and Oakwood Boulevard, just west of the Southfield Freeway (M-39) and south of Michigan Avenue (US-12).

From the East or West via I-94:
Take I-94 to the Oakwood Boulevard exit; go north on Oakwood. The Henry Ford is 2.5 miles from the exit on the corner of Village Road and Oakwood Boulevard.
From the South via I-75:
Exit to northbound Southfield Freeway (M-39); drive 4.1 miles to Oakwood Boulevard (Exit 4). Left on Oakwood and drive 1.8 miles.
From the North via Southfield Road (or I-96):
Take Southfield Freeway (M-39) south 4.5 miles past I-96 and exit at Michigan avenue (Exit 6). Continue on the Southfield service drive (veer left) for .5 mile. At the first stoplight, turn right onto Village Road (through the iron gates) and drive .75 mile.
