	Tinker. Hack. Invent. Saturdays Every Saturday, every month (10am - 3pm) It’s a weekly celebration of American ingenuity. We call it Tinker. Hack. Invent. and it takes place every Saturday. Join our Tinker Task Force and have a blast trying your hand at all sorts of things. Americans are famous for their ingenuity and resourcefulness, for their eagerness to improve and explore new ideas. This is your chance to learn firsthand how that spirit is alive and well today. Come explore your own ingenuity. Try your hand at something new, something different. The activities change month to month. Hands-on. How-to, DIY, science and more! The only limitation is your imagination. And it’s free* with museum admission or membership. *Some supply fees may apply.

	Macy's 2nd Mondays Second Monday of each Month (10am – noon) Introduce your preschool children to the wonders of The Henry Ford — all before nap time. Preschoolers rule during Macy’s 2nd Mondays at The Henry Ford. Storytelling, live entertainment and dozens of hands-on activities related to some of our most memorable artifacts — trains, dollhouses, historic games, even a ride on our amazing Herschell-Spillman carousel. There are seasonal activities, too: Santa in December, Valentine’s Day take-home artwork in February and 19th-century base ball in July (base ball was spelled as two words into the early 1900s). 	Roadside America June 20, 2015 - January 24, 2016 John Margolies has spent decades photographing the quirks and ingenuity of America’s roadside architecture. He doesn’t play favorites, whether he’s shooting a masterful Art Deco movie theater on a quiet main street or photographing an oddball-themed motel. His greatest admiration and affection are reserved for the entrepreneurial spirit of small-town America as they try to stand out in an increasingly mobile and commercialized environment. This recently acquired collection, including a gallery experience displaying 25 framed prints of Margolies’ photographs, documents a very homespun form of architecture, design and advertising that shows humor and quirkiness. Margolies was willing to look at architecture and details that many people neither took seriously at times or even noticed. His images show an emotional resonance that tie them to fundamental aspects of American culture. The Henry Ford acknowledges and celebrates that resonance. Quirky. Creative. Fascinating. Take a drive down the byways and back roads of America. Only at Henry Ford Museum. Limited engagement. Dates subject to change.

	Local Roots Fall Evening Dining November 6, 2015 (Cash Bar - 6:30pm, Dinner - 7pm) in Lovett Hall Come and experience an up-close-and-personal cooking lesson with the renowned culinary team of The Henry Ford. They will walk you through the process of how we take local ingredients and create beautiful, tasty meals. A full five-course meal based on the fall dishes shown will be served. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres service will start promptly upon your arrival beginning at 6:30pm in Lovett Hall. Dinner service will start promptly at 7pm. Guests 21 and older will be given 2 drink tickets to use at the bar. Coffee, water and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided. Full cash bar available.
