Available through The Henry Ford

Application cycle opens September 28, 2015 for the 2015-2016 school year.

Thanks to the generous support of the MASCO Corporation Foundation, the Colina Foundation, the Karen Colina Wilson Foundation and guests who have donated to The Henry Ford Field Trip Scholarship Fund, we are able to offer Field Trip Scholarships.

These scholarships are available to Michigan schools (public, parochial or independent) in which at least 30% of students receive free or reduced lunches* as outlined in chart below.

Admission scholarships cover admission costs for students and group leaders to visit Henry Ford Museum or Greenfield Village. Transportation scholarships cover transportation costs ($200 per 75 people) for visits to Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, Ford Rouge Factory Tour or The Henry Ford IMAX Theatre. The scholarship does not cover costs associated with special on-site programs such as One Room School or If I Had a Hammer.

  2. A signed endorsement from the principal, including email address

Available through Target Field Trip Grants

Application cycle opens August 1, 2015 for the 2015-2016 school year

The Target Field Trip Grants program provides funds for K-12 field trips in order to give students throughout the country the opportunity to explore more of the world outside the classroom. For the 2015-2016 school year, grants of up to $700 each will be awarded to educators, teachers, principals, paraprofessionals, and classified staff who are employed by accredited K-12 public, private, or charter schools. Types of eligible trips include art, science, and cultural museum visits; community service and civic projects; career enrichment opportunities; and other events or activities away from the school facility. Funds may be used to cover trip-related costs such as transportation, ticket fees, food, resource materials, and supplies.

Available through Arts & Culture Trek Grant Program

The 2015-16 grant application will open on Aug. 15, 2015, and close on Oct. 19, 2015.

Since 2012, Michigan Youth Arts, on behalf of the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, has offered Michigan K-12 schools grants of up to $500 to pay for transportation costs associated with an arts or culture-related field trip. The Henry Ford is an approved field trip destination for this grant.
