The Benson Ford Research Center collects America. Part of that effort extends to preserving and providing access to our own records: the papers, still and moving images, and electronic records created during the course of our operations, including our webpage. The Henry Ford put its first webpage online in 1995 and has continued and expanded its web offerings ever since.

To maintain a comprehensive record of our own institution, in 2013 we began the quarterly capture of our website. The Henry Ford has partnered with San Diego State University to crawl and capture thehenryford.org four times a year, save the dataset in a preservation environment, and provide access online. In this way, we can continue to serve the research needs of educators, students, scholars, writers, and enthusiasts.
