On Michigan’s largest screen, TITANICA will take audiences on a captivating journey through a nonfiction docudrama that combines spectacular life-size images of the shattered remains of RMS Titanic from the ocean floor with recollections of Titanic survivor Eva Hart and archival photographs of the ship from her construction, launch and sea trials.
Fascinated by the Titanic, director Stephen Low, a veteran IMAX filmmaker with a great passion for history and technology, weaves a dramatic story of this modern-day expedition and the legendary ship. Through one-of-a-kind HMI underwater lights and the power of IMAX film cameras, audiences will witness the wreck in astonishing, vivid detail.
Startling images of the Titanic as she now lies on the ocean floor are contrasted with the exquisitely preserved photographs of the ship in her entire magnificence. Placed side-by-side with these images is the touching and eloquent testimony of Eva Hart, who was 7 years old when she was a passenger on the ship. She and her mother survived; her father did not.
As Hart reminisces about the tragedy, she remembers the time spent with her father right before the disaster. The frightened little girl never saw her father again and still believes that if enough lifeboats had been available, all lives would have been saved in the 2 hours and 40 minutes it took for the Titanic to sink after striking an iceberg on that fateful night 100 years ago.

From the East or West via I-94:
Take I-94 to the Oakwood Boulevard exit; go north on Oakwood. The Henry Ford is 2.5 miles from the exit on the corner of Village Road and Oakwood Boulevard.
From the South via I-75:
Exit to northbound Southfield Freeway (M-39); drive 4.1 miles to Oakwood Boulevard (Exit 4). Left on Oakwood and drive 1.8 miles.
From the North via Southfield Road (or I-96):
Take Southfield Freeway (M-39) south 4.5 miles past I-96 and exit at Michigan avenue (Exit 6). Continue on the Southfield service drive (veer left) for .5 mile. At the first stoplight, turn right onto Village Road (through the iron gates) and drive .75 mile.
