We’re inviting students from around the United States to create a story that celebrates the life and times of Thomas Edison, one of America’s greatest innovators.

Students in grades 3-12 can enter for a chance to win prizes, with one talented student having his or her story published by The Henry Ford.

Contest period for 2015 begins December 1, check back then to submit your story. Stories submitted prior to December 1 will not be accepted.

How to Enter:

  1. Write a story using the Foundational Materials, which are resources related to Thomas Edison. They will be provided online starting December 1. These resources, along with other independent research, will give you historical information to frame your creative story.

  2. Complete the online application (parental permission is required), and submit with your story via email or mail.
