The Henry Ford Mission
The Henry Ford provides unique educational experiences based on authentic objects, stories, and lives from America's traditions of ingenuity, resourcefulness and innovation. Our purpose is to inspire people to learn from these traditions to help shape a better future.

Blocks of rooms at a reasonable rate have been reserved at the Best Western Greenfield Inn.  Once Summer Scholars have been selected we will distribute a list of people seeking roommates so that you can make your own arrangements for sharing costs.  Meals will be the responsibility of the Summer Scholars.  Lunch will be available for purchase in Henry Ford Museum or Greenfield Village.

Best Western Greenfield Inn
The Best Western Greenfield Inn is located in Allen Park, Michigan at I-94 and Oakwood Blvd. Our 209 spacious guest rooms and suites are decorated in the Victorian style, and offer a refrigerator, cable satellite television with HBO and HSIA. Our group and pet friendly hotel also features O'Henry's Restaurant and Squire's Pub, offering a variety of menu items to satisfy any palette. Hotel amenities include an In-Hotel Spa, indoor heated pool, whirlpool, hot tub, dry sauna, exercise facility, gift shop, guest library, and banquet room and meeting space to accommodate up to 50 people. The Best Western Greenfield Inn is a proud partner of The Henry Ford, which includes the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, IMAX® theatre and the Ford Rouge Factory Tour located just two miles from our Inn. Enjoy our complimentary shuttle to and from the Henry Ford, Detroit Metro Airport and area shopping for all registered guests.


A daily shuttle service will be provided between the Best Western and The Henry Ford.  Shuttles will leave hotels at 7:45am every morning and The Henry Ford at 6:00pm every evening.

Summer Scholars are not required to use the shuttle service and may choose to drive to the workshop each day.
