My first car is a 1964 FORD GALAXIE 500. I bought it in April 1971. I am lucky enough to still own it. I drove it my senior year in high school. I got married in 1974. It was my every day driver for 3-4 yrs. I was finally able to buy another car & was able to not drive the GALAXIE in the winter anymore. I was able to have some body work & painting done on the car. In the early '80s, I started taking it to car shows.
Well I've been married for 38yrs. & raised 3 boys & I still have the GALAXIE. It's gone trough some changes over the yrs. I have learned & researched a lot of Ford racing history.I am a TRUE BLUE FORD LOVER. I have made my car look like a DRAG RACING-LIGHTWEIGHT GALAXIE. It is white w/red interior, still original colors. I added a fiberglass teardrop hood. I put in bucket seats & floor
