My first car was a 1982 Chevrolet Citation. While the X-2 engine was great, the electrical system had issues e.g. turn on the right turn signal with the stereo on and it would stall during the turn. It was wacky but I learned how to drive with those issues fairly well.
My dad had it but gave it to me when I earned my MI driver's license and he bought a 1989 Grand Prix, My friends and I were in Brighton, MI at the time, we had our licenses, and old cars so we would race on the dirt roads and push those cars to the limits. That old Citation held up to a lot of abuse and beat-up Ford Mustangs on dirt roads, especially in fall and early winter.
It was traded in for a 1992 Chevrolet Beretta. That old Citation died in the parking lot and wouldn't start but as I told the dealer, we agreed the car would be traded in "as is" condition.
