My birthday present for my 16th. birthday in 1959 was a 1930 Stock Model A Coupe. It was absolutely beautiful and I cherished it!! My male classmates were not so enamoured. Guys who had been really friendly, were suddenly not so nice.

Just before summer vacation, the ASB held two events: a fashion show for the girls and a car show for the guys. I entered my car in the car show and it won first place. Wow!!

During senior year, while my dad was serving in Japan, my mom told me that she thought we could get along with one car. My Model A was the one to go. It broke by heart.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a photo. It was tan, with moon wheels and original interior. A classmate bought it.
