I bought this little beauty in 1954, while in the Marines, stationed at Parris Island, South Carolina as a rifle instructor, and I sure did have some fun with it. When, as a member of the Marine Corps Rifle Team, I received orders to travel to Camp Perry, Ohio to compete on the U.S. International Rifle Team, I was authorized to use private transportation to make the trip. This little ol' Pfc ended up chauffeuring a couple of officers, fellow team members, up there with me, which was quite a unique experience. That little convertible not only boosted my popularity with the team members, but it gave me a great leg up with the girls in the nearby town of Sandusky as well. I sure hated selling it after only a year, but they wouldn't let me take it on the troop ship with me when I got transferred to Hawaii...
