My freedom
by:
Mike
My first car was a 1995 Honda Accord, 4 door, 4 cylinder. It was a hand me down from my sister. My parents bought it for her when she was 18, and then when I got my license she was away at school so they gave it to me.

I loved it. It was my freedom. I used to spend hours washing, waxing, working on it. I drove it EVERYWHERE. This is back when $20 would fill my tank...and I got change back (circa 2001). My Friday nights were filled with driving and music...and I could not have been more happy.

I can't say that I have "memorable moments" from it because it gave me freedom. That was so important to me as a teen (and still is now). Most of my memorable moments have to do with where I was able to go...and the fact that I could go there at anytime.

I loved it. I wanted more of a sporty car, but I didn't hold the car at fault for not being sporty. I was able to take it anywhere at anytime, so it was perfect.

I drove that car into the ground. I had well over 250,000 miles on it when I purchased my second car.
