My parents bought a '63 Dodge Dart for me to drive to college in '72 for $100.00. She name was "Blue." My graduation gift from my aunt & uncle was an AM/FM radio to be installed in place of the metal plate. During the summer I helped my uncle rebuild "blues" engine. I spent every evening at his house up to my elbows in coal oil. My contribution was using a wire brush to clean each & every part. Close to the end of the project my uncle dug his hand deep in the coal oil wash tub and smeared three finger of sludge across my cheek. It was a week before I could clean it off. I really didn't care ... I had a great running car & a radio to listen to tunes! I drove that car for 7 years. Not a bad investment in the long run!
