My first really great car was my Buick Skylark. My kind friend, Ed, sold me it for $400. It had sat in his backyard for 2 years, never being started. Everyone laughed at it. Some said it was an old lady car and others said it was junk. After a good tune up and a thorough change of all the fluids, that car went on to give me nearly eight years of flawless service and a free 100,000+ miles. My father and I went everywhere in it. I took it on several road trips to northern Michigan, Quebec and Niagara Falls. It endured some harsh Michigan winters and saw service as a security vehicle, beer route car and pizza carrier. I was sorry to see old faithful go, but happy to sell her for $400!
