One
Photograph, many Pictures:
The photographic and print files of the Detroit Publishing Company provide
an opportunity to see the many ways one photograph could
be modified by the techniques of cut and paste, colorizing,
cropping, and reformatting. The application of these
methods allowed the company to create several different
versions of a scene from one photographic shot.
