The
museum holds about 6,500 individual issues of some 500
different American newspapers, dating from the 18th century
to the late 20th century. Many of these individual issues
contain information on significant individuals such as
Thomas
Edison, Charles Lindbergh, and Henry
Ford, or historic events such as George Washington's
funeral, Civil War battles, or the end of World War II.
There are no long runs of any single paper. |
