These
records relate to the legal affairs conducted by the Ford
Motor Co. It includes legal cases, claims, contracts,
agreements, and correspondence for the company, Henry
Ford, and the Ford family. It covers the major legal
proceedings brought against or by the company and deals
with major subjects such as: trademark and patent; labor
and U.S. government contracts; manufacturing purchase
contracts and releases; finance and tax proceedings; sales
and service cases. Of particular interest are such
prominent lawsuits as the Selden Patent Cases (1903-1910),
the Dodge Brothers Suit (1904-1924) the Chicago Tribune
Libel Suit (1919) and the Ferguson vs. Ford Tractor Suit
