Engineering Department (1906-1961):

The
records of the Engineering Department are
concerned with product design and development.
Included here are correspondence, agendas,
meeting minutes, work reports, engineering
schedules, memoranda, analyses, manuals, parts
drawings, releases, photographs, microfilm,
aperture cards, publications, and other supporting
documentation pertaining to automotive, truck,
tractor, aircraft and war materials production
of the company. Of particular interest
is the vast collection of parts drawings created
for the company's products. Because,
for a period of time, the company separated
some of its planning by product type, additional
engineering records can be found in the Automotive
Group records. |
