Salute to America
July 2-5, 2014 (6-10pm)
Join us to celebrate Independence Day with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
A classic Independence Day celebration with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra that’s as full of freedom-loving fanfare as they come.

July Fourth is the quintessential American holiday. What better occasion for a four-day party? Picnics, games and festive holiday food from our award-winning culinary staff. Plenty of activities for kids, too. But the centerpiece of each evening is a joint concert by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the United States Army Field Band, Concert Band and Soldiers’ Chorus, the premier touring musical representatives of the United States Army. Stick around for the grand finale, the DSO playing Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, featuring authentic cannon fire and a spectacular fireworks display accompanied by live patriotic music.
