We’re inviting students from around the United States to create a story that celebrates the life and times of Orville and Wilbur Wright, two of America’s greatest innovators.

Students in grades 3-12 can enter for a chance to win prizes, with one talented student having his or her story published by The Henry Ford.

Contest period for 2014 is currently closed, check back in Fall 2014 for 2015 dates.

How to Enter:

  1. Write a story using the Foundational Materials, which are resources related to the Wright brothers. They will be provided online starting December 1. These resources, along with other independent research, will give you historical information to frame your creative story.

  2. Complete the online application (parental permission is required), and submit with your story via email or mail.
