My first car was a 1976 Thunderbird - yellow! We called it the yellow submarine or the Yellow Bird. My parents let me drive it (theirs originally) when I turned 16 in 1985. I totalled it 6 weeks after my 16th birthday driving to school one morning. Drove into a deep ditch just down the road from our house. My parents were on vacation, and boy were they mad when they got home. I learned my lesson that at 16, I wasn't the best driver out there!
