History Hunters are thematic, self-directed, onsite exploration tools for focusing student looking, listening and doing at Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village and Ford Rouge Factory Tour.

More than just a scavenger hunt, History Hunters allow students to work cooperatively and have fun learning together.

Each History Hunters:

  • Invites students to investigate our American past
  • Provides a mix of open ended questions or activities that encourage discovering, talking, observing, imagining, comparing, contrasting, predicting, etc. while visiting our exhibits, sites and collections.
  • Focuses on selected sites or artifacts that are thematically linked and often geographically close together.    The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village History Hunters do not “cover” the whole museum or village.
  • Connects to and reinforces selected Michigan Curriculum Framework Content Standards and Benchmarks.
