My first car was a 1956 Chevy hardtop that I got in 1962 for a drive-to-work car. Radio worked; heater worked sometimes. 150CID I-6 must have been mistreated in earlier years because the main bearings gave way in a couple of years. New engine wasn't much better. Little green Chevy final got creamed in a chain reaction crash on the john C Lodge Expressway in Detroit. It was replaced by a white 1959 Bel Air.
