My dream was to have my own car since my dad was very strict about driving the family car....we couldn't! After high school I got a job and saved until I had enough money. My dad worked at Ford as a design engineer so had access to the company cars turned in after one years' use by Ford employees. He took me there and I knew this beautiful 1967 Mercury Cougar had to be mine. It was my pride and joy...dark blue with a vinyl top and black interior. Had it until 1971 and would love to have it still!
