I was young and wanted a fast car. In 1985, that meant a 5.0 L Ford with it's whopping 210HP.

Mustang GTs were too common and the Capri RS was kinda gaudy, but then I heard about these limited-edition ASC McLaren Coupes. Only 150 available and eligible for the A-Plan. Yippie! $13,300 @ 10% for 60 months and I was one happy 19 year-old!

Well, for a year. It was stolen the next year right out of my drive way, a block from the Romulus PD by some dirtbags I'd known in high school. I scrambled, but was able to get a 1986 ASC Coupe (1 of 115) to replace it.
