As I started saving up for my first car, I knew that a Ford Mustang would be right for me, but how was I supposed to explain this to my parents? Getting a Mustang would be like winning the lottery. It is my dream car. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but I asked my parents if we could go around to a couple dealers and at least look at a couple Mustangs.
As we pulled into a Ford dealer in Chattanooga, TN, I saw my first car just sitting and waiting for me to drive it off the lot. It was a 2008 Ford Mustang V6 deluxe edition. With a black body and white racing stripes, it looked like a race car. I took it for a test drive and knew that I had to get a Mustang.
We initially made an offer, and the dealer wouldn't accept it. We ended up leaving the dealership, but 20 minutes later they called us back and accepted our asking price. I can't explain in words the excitement I felt the moment I knew I would be driving home in my dream car. It took me years to save for that car, but the journey was finally over.
That first drive home to Cleveland, TN, was a joyride. The Ford Mustang is an icon of automobiles. I plan to keep that car till the day I die. When I get behind the wheel of my Mustang, all of my cares fly out the window. It's just me, my Ford, and the road ahead. Henry Ford is a huge role model for me. There's nothing like being an owner of a Ford automobile. I'm not much of a writer, but I could write about my car for days. I'm very blessed to be able to drive my dream car.
