Schools & School Supplies:
|
It is not surprising that The Henry Ford has a substantial collection of school equipment and supplies since it was originally founded as a school and includes the Scotch Settlement School building in Greenfield Village. Pens and pencils, inkwells, slates, school desks, and teaching aids, nearly all dating from 1860-1900, are included in the collection. These school-related artifacts are augmented by a large collection of school texts and primers. |
