World's Fair Posters:

Since the mid-nineteenth century, the world's fair or exhibition has provided a forum for the introduction of new technologies and new consumer products. By combining entertainment with scientific, technological, and educational exhibits, it provided manufacturing and commercial interests with opportunities to promote the mass consumption of their products. As a promoter of consumption, the world's fair has played a significant role in the growth of the consumer culture. The Henry Ford has 20 world's fair lithograph posters dating from 1926 to 1984.
