Automotive Product Literature:
|
The automotive product literature provides specific information about product lines including automobiles, trucks and tractors. It contains sales brochures, press kits, paint charts, color and trim books, owners manuals, and automobile salesman's manuals and price books. The service manuals contain repair information, parts lists, accessory catalogs, and service bulletins with detailed drawings used for automobile repairs. Notable, too, are the 1,000,000 Ford Motor Company production parts drawings for automobiles, tractors and aircraft. These microfilmed copies of the company's original drawings, created between 1909 and 1957, are an invaluable tool for recreating individual parts and assemblies as well as for answering technical questions about the individual products. Related collections include automotive advertisements, an historical collection of automotive periodicals and books, late 1800s to present, and a significant collection of historical automobile related photographs. |
