records relate to the design, production and marketing
of Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Edsel automobiles.
Included are correspondence, drawings, photographs, clippings
paint samples, press releases and reports. Of particular
interest is material relating to the original Lincoln
Motor Car Company and its purchase by Henry Ford in 1922;
the records of custom body builder Herman C. Brunn; the
papers and oral histories of designers like John Najjar,
William Shenk and Thomas Case; and detailed information
on the Ford Thunderbird and Taurus, Lincoln Continental
and Zepher, and the ill fated Edsel.
