The museum's collection of over 200 artifacts relating to the printing industry ranks as one of the best printing history collections in the United States. The collections include presses, type casting and setting equipment, hand tools, and office furniture. The highlights of the collection include nearly 30 nineteenth-century printing presses and a dozen early-twentieth century typesetting machines, including the first prototype of Ottmar Mergenthaler's Linotype machine. |
