Earlier today Ford Motor Company was among the first automakers to receive a green partnership with the U.S. government to help accelerate the development of advanced technologies for even better fuel efficiency and emissions. U.S. Department of Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, was part of an array of dignitaries as Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally, graciously accepted the opportunity to further advance Ford's partnership for a greener America.

| Mulally went on to say Ford is investing nearly $14 billion dollars in the United States of America on advanced technology vehicles that will achieve annual fuel savings of two and half billion gallons by 2012. |
