Jon Wellsman, sales director, Ford of Britain said: "The prices we achieved were our best result at a first-time launch action, reflecting the quality and style of the new Fiesta. We were hoping for around 75 per cent and so the results exceeded our expectations and confirmed that we have a desirable small-car line up.
"The used market has changed dramatically over recent months and I think some customers question leaving money in the bank on low interest when they can get a new or used car."
BCA’s Ford Account Manager, Alan Gupwell added: "This high profile event marked a very successful launch for new Fiesta and Ka, and in the current economic climate sends a significant message to the market place about the strength of the Ford brand.”
