FORD CONNECT REWARD FOR TOP HOOVER SELLER

BRENTWOOD, Essex, 28 September, 2009 – Sizzling sales of kitchen appliances have won Swansea store Enterprise 2000 a Ford Transit Connect LWB van in a Hoover customer incentive competition.

The commercial vehicle was offered by long-standing Ford Connect user Hoover Ltd to the store which recorded the biggest sales increase.

Steve MacDonald, Hoover marketing director, said: “We wanted to incentivise and reward stores by running this promotion and we received a great response. Tying in with Hoover’s dedication to customer service, the new Ford van enables Enterprise 2000 to offer an express service to its customers.”

Hoover, based in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, runs 200 Ford Connect LWB vans on a solus basis for service engineers. The company, part of Hoover Candy Group, uses Ford cars for management and sales staff.

“We used Ford vans for 15 years and, although we have tried other makes occasionally, we always come back to Ford,” said David Lunt, Hoover Candy vice president responsible for its fleet.

“We were one of the first companies to get excited about the Ford Connect and particularly like the long-wheelbase Connect. It is the optimum cube and weight for our purposes.”

Hoover Candy's vans are contract hired on a four-year/100,000-mile replacement cycle.
