FORD OF CANADA: RECYCLE YOUR RIDE AND GET UP TO $3,300 TOWARD A NEW FORDStarting September 3, consumers turning in 15-year-old (or older) vehicles for recycling will get up to $3,000 toward the purchase of a new vehicle from the Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited, the company announced today. Ford's scrappage program builds on the Canadian government's Retire Your Ride initiative which offers $300 and other benefits to eligible participants. |

FORD'S STRONG LINEUP DRIVES RETAIL SALES UP 21 PERCENTFord, Lincoln and Mercury dealers reported a 21 percent increase in retail sales in August as customer demand for Ford's fuel-efficient cars, crossovers and trucks enabled the company to post its second consecutive increase in monthly sales. Total sales – including fleet customer deliveries – were 176,323, up 17 percent versus last year. |
