GREG BIFFLE QUALIFIES SECOND AT FONTANA

Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M/Scotch-Blue Ford Fusion, will start on the outside of Row 1 in Sunday’s race after posting a qualifying lap of 182.704 mph at Auto Club Speedway on Friday. It is Biffle’s fifth top-five start at the two-mile track, where he won in 2005. Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion, qualified 11th.

GREG BIFFLE AND CARL EDWARDS CARRY MOMENTUM TO CALIFORNIA

Ford Racing teammates Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards have combined for two wins at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., site of this weekend’s race. Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, is in eighth place in the standings and led a race-high 113 laps en route to a third-place finish at Kansas last weekend. Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion, has nine finishes of seventh or better in 10 career starts at the two-mile oval near Los Angeles.
