Ford Motor Company is transforming its more than 60-year-old Dearborn facilities into a modern, green, high-tech campus. The project will colocate 30,000 employees from 70 buildings into primarily two campus locations over a 10-year period.
The centralized campus will further drive innovation and support Ford’s transition into an auto and mobility company.
Throughout, Ford Motor Company will work closely with the city of Dearborn on our master planning activities to ensure adherence to all city guidelines and to provide updates to residents on the project.

November Update
Ford continues construction on its research and engineering campus as part of the company’s 10-year Dearborn campus transformation. Roofing of the new one-story maintenance and operations building is now complete and siding installation is ongoing. Preparation for spring landscaping is underway. Pre-cast erection continues at the site of the parking deck located next to the new maintenance and operations building. In accordance with Dearborn city guidelines, construction will take place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. We appreciate your support. Timeline
Phase one (2016-2023) began last April with a focus on parking decks and infrastructure. Additional projects include a new design studio, a sustainability showcase building, and green areas .
Phase two (2021-2026) will focus on major renovations of the Ford World Headquarters complex, including Ford Credit. Ahead of that, work begins in 2017 on modifications to the complex, including a more modern café at World Headquarters and updated work spaces.
