Position Description
· Function as plant level single-point-of-contact for all MP&L issues related to Transmission launch planning and support
· Deliver MP&L New Model Launch Objectives.
· Ensure Plan For Every Part is developed and updated for new program
· Develop Synchronous Material Flow plan throughout the internal and external supply chain
· Assist with workstation material layout proposals.
· Specify and coordinate the installation of MH linefeed equipment.
· Develop packaging strategy, (line feed designs, card/call warehouse, floor space optimization, truck dock utilization) with
corporate packaging engineering.
· PMHV planning (fork free)
· Develop manpower planning needs for new model program
· Review program changes and new model MP&L proposals for feasibility and cost effectiveness.
· CMMS3: Develop count point strategy. Establish plant packaging data, other cmms setups
· Assist BOM analyst with internal float planning and finished float planning
· Assist with tracking new model parts for functional runs and address supplier compliance issues
· Support audits by providing packaging and material handling related documentation
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
· Strong ability to interface with plant hourly and salaried personnel, union representatives, third party providers, and
production suppliers.
· Ability to work shifts and overtime patterns (including weekends and holidays) as required based on production schedules
and/or job requirements.
· Strong analytical skill set and quick decision-making capability.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree
· 1+ year logistic experience
· 1+ years Microsoft office experience
Preferred Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems or
Business Mgmt.
· Material Handling Supervision or assembly and machining experience desired
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles experience
· Knowledge of constraint management principles experience
· Strong understanding of CMMS, SMART and PFEP.
· Strong understanding of computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
· Prior experience in lean manufacturing, new model launch, or related materials management or Engineering function/s preferred.
· Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding
