The Ford Smart Mobility (FSM) LLC team is working to transform the urban transportation experience. Housed within FSM LLC, Greenfield Labs is a small but highly capable and fast moving team designing, developing, shipping and testing new products and services that help people make the best of multimodal transportation systems in cities around the world. We are looking for candidates to join us in this journey to develop and deliver exciting and ground-breaking human-centered transportation products and services.

As a Product Manager at Greenfield Labs, you will have the opportunity to help define product vision and own the roadmap for emerging transportation services. This includes coordinating project activities and resources and partnering with regional engineering and design teams to develop product strategy. This position will work closely with a diverse set of stakeholders (engineering, product owners, clients, and external partners) to communicate complex concepts and complete projects. Ideal candidate has spent time as a Technical Product Manager or Business Designer.

Responsibilities:

• Help define product vision and own roadmap for emerging transportation products and services
• Coordinate project activities, resources, and partner with regional engineering and design team to develop product strategy
• Provide guidance to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders and partners
• Perform competitor analysis to benchmark and provide guidance to technical leadership
• Liaise with stakeholders to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives for certain service implementations
• Work with cross-functional team to identify valuable partnership opportunities
• Write detailed product requirements and user stories for the development team

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• 2 years of work experience in product management in engineering, design, data science or analytics role

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MBA, or related field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
• Excellent written and communication skills and a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences
• 5 years of relevant work experience
• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
• Has the capability to think strategically and balance a broad range of factors, propose solutions, and make informed decisions
• Strong background in software product development
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on transportation services is a plus
