Facilitate process and tool reviews to identify appropriate industry standard MBD development practices in support of IVI feature development, for the design and system architecture of small to medium sized embedded systems; system modeling and model design; embedded software development; and build, test & analysis for embedded systems.

Job description:
Research Engineer position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Support the design, development and testing of In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) features using Model Based Design (MBD) processes. Facilitate process and tool reviews to identify appropriate industry standard MBD development practices in support of IVI feature development, for the design and system architecture of small to medium sized embedded systems; system modeling and model design; embedded software development; and build, test & analysis for embedded systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience developing functional stateflow diagrams using modeling tools, standards and methodologies
- 2 years of experience designing embedded software using standard modeling tools
- 2 years of experience generating software code using Model-Based-Design tool sets
- 2 years of experience using software code and model validation processes including Model-in-Loop (MIL), Software-in-Loop (SIL) or Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) testing
- 2 years of experience applying CAN communication standards and protocols
- 2 years of experience programming with C, C++, MatLab scripting, and CANalyzer CAPL scripting
- 2 years of experience developing software with standard Agile software development processes and tools
- 2 years of experience using software version control tools in the software development process
- 2 years of experience using software requirements management tools
