Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDI&A) is looking for a motivated and talented individual with a strong analytics background to join our team. Applicants should be able to design and implement mathematical models and prototype software applications, in close collaboration with our business partners in Ford’s Automotive Safety Office. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDI&A) is looking for a motivated and talented individual with a strong analytics background to join our team. Applicants should be able to design and implement mathematical models and prototype software applications, in close collaboration with our business partners in Ford’s Automotive Safety Office. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and understand the needs of our internal business partners, including Automotive Safety Office, Research & Advanced Engineering and Product Development
- Formulate problems and develop models and algorithms for processing quantitative, qualitative and text data
- Develop analytical solutions to increase organizational capabilities and automate tasks that are currently highly manual
- Present and publish work, when appropriate
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in computer programming (Python, Java, C++ or another programming language)
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related technical field
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work with others
- Computer programming expertise
- Broad background in analytics, modeling, and algorithm development
- Experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing
- Experience working with databases
- Experience developing web-based applications
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, and cloud computing technologies
