Position Overview/Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Analyst to join our global team. The ideal candidate would come with strong experience in mainframe platform, IT support as well as strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. This global team is divided between Dearborn, MI and Chennai, India, This role will be located in Dearborn, MI.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Analyst:
  • Support and enhance Lending Automotive (LA) suite of applications
  • Ability to work with multiple teams across the globe, including LA IT to support team in India, LA business team in North America and other Ford and Ford Credit IT teams.
  • Participate in duty analyst primary and backup support rotation. The support hours include non-business hours on weekday and weekends while on call
  • Develop and execute unit and integration test plans
  • Write scripts to validate that the code meets technical and functional specification.
  • Participate in code reviews at appropriate stages of development
  • Strong mainframe skills including COBOL, JCL, CA7, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, Connect Direct, sFTP, Endevour, Flat file processing, etc.
  • Strong communication skills are required to interact with business customers on a regular basis
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Commitment to quality and project timing
  • Highly motivated professional (self-starter and results oriented)

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
  • 5+ Years of mainframe platform experience
  • 3+ years of IT support experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of mainframe platform experience
  • 5+ years of IT support experience
  • Ability to work in a global cross functional team, partnering with both internal and external customers
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, independent thinker/worker
  • SharePoint
  • Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong drive for results and ability to work independently
  • Self-starter with proven innovation skills
  • Ability to document complex systems
  • Experience in obtaining and understanding business requests
  • Experience in creating and executing detailed test plans
