FSM is Ford’s Mobility services organization focused on designing, deploying and operating solutions that enhance the movement of goods and services in the worlds most thriving and vibrant cities. Its charter is to be the preeminent Transportation Operating System partner for Cities to transform their infrastructure through new business models, and to profitably operate new Mobility solutions that Liberate the Human Journey.
The role of the Solutions Deployment Lead is to work with key stakeholders to develop and deploy a portfolio of business opportunities in global markets:
Provide the international perspective into global strategy/POV and advanced solutions development
Prioritize and align growth plans (incl. funding and resources) with regional leads (AP, EU, SA) and the business lead
Ensure robust deployment of prioritized solutions
Oversee solution delivery to the customer (initially for the POC projects)
Maintain the day to day cadence of project governance
Handle global/local partnerships for various solutions
Key activities include:
Actively engaging regional FSM teams through weekly project collaboration, and provide thought leadership through workshops and skill development programs
Regularly connecting with business leads to ensure an aligned approach to global deployment
Developing playbook for key internal stakeholders to inform monetization opportunities, and provide support to develop city-specific business models to drive commercialization success
Planning for long-term growth including development of product/market business plans
Skills and Experiences:
Ability to develop and deliver new Mobility solutions to market using unique business models such as revenue sharing models, transit analytics services, and infrastructure monetization
Ability to formulate strategies and concepts, with strong business acumen and analytical skills
Focus on the customer and design-thinking approach to problem-solving
Proficiency in organizational influence; ability to bring together diverse teams and deliver aligned results
Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment and growing team
Consistently exhibits sound judgment and pursues relentlessly high standards
Frequent travel
Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree
6+ years of Transport services or Digital business model experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
Fluency in multiple languages
Strong verbal and written communication
Able to guide market teams in establishing POC teams and then supporting implementation
Exploration focused, but driving progress through the funnel
Connecting top-down strategy to bottom-up implementation
