Job Description
This Control System Engineering position involves the design, implementation, and validation of control system features for driveline technologies on the eAWD technologies within the driveline controls software.

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, capture, and maintain requirements for current and next generation eAWD driveline technologies, such as front and rear electric drive systems (eRAD, eFAD), torque vectoring, driveline disconnect devices, and regen capabilities
  • Create and/or maintain control feature documentation and calibration crib sheets/guides
  • Design control system to meet functional, regulatory, safety, and functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements
  • Implement control system design in a model based environment and C language
  • Conduct detailed validation simulations and testing of control system models and generated code
  • Lead control system implementation planning to meet functional, cost, quality, and timing objectives
  • Troubleshoot vehicle/powertrain functional issues; determine and validate corrective actions and preventative measures

Required Qualifications:
  • Master of Science degree in Engineering
  • 2 years’ experience in testing and debugging automotive embedded systems software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in MatLab/ Simulink / Stateflow
  • Working knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles
  • Experience with calibration development tools (ATI Vision, ETAS Inca, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with diverse teams and across organizational boundaries to accomplish complex tasks
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge in MatLab / Simulink / Stateflow
  • Working knowledge of modeling, simulation and testing techniques
  • Working knowledge of C language and embedded software
  • Understanding of basic principles of controls engineering
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills
