Job Overview/Description:

Ford Credit Marketing and Sales IT is a Global domain with responsibility for Strategy, Portfolio Management, Mobility Experiments, Operational Support and Project Delivery. We are also leading the adoption of Agile and partnering with leading technology firms outside of Ford to change the way we develop software. The position is within the Online Financing space which is responsible for delivering a new and exciting digital retail experience for a variety of different channels.

Development follows eXtreme (XP) Agile practices with continuous integration and deployment geared towards a business and user value driven approach. The team frequently delivers user stories in 1 week sprints targeted on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).


Responsibilities:

  • Complete development using the latest cloud native technologies, paired programming and test driven development (TDD)
  • Engage in cross-functional knowledge sharing and continuous learning on the technologies and methods within the open, collaborative team environment at the Ford Credit Dearborn office
  • Apply Ford architecture standards appropriately in collaboration with architects to ensure solutions/services follow IT principles and are optimized for performance
  • Adhere to all Ford/Ford Credit processes, tools and methodologies, security and control updates and change control processes
  • Participate in cross-functional global committees (e.g. standards, best practices, forum collaboration)

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of programming experience in Java, HTML, SQL, and/or Javascript

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in IT Related Field
  • Experience with agile development
  • Experience with Paired programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Familiarity with Spring Cloud and deploying to cloud platforms, preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
  • Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as GIT hub, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc.
  • Additional skills desired with SpringBoot and Angular JS
  • Willingness to continuously learn
  • Highly motivated professional (self-starter and results oriented)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team
