Job Description Job description: Connected Vehicle Product Development Engineer position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Design, develop, implement and validate next generation automotive cellular connectivity and Telematics features. Develop and maintain ERA-GLONASS system level and certification level design. Perform software code and design reviews and failure mode effects and analysis. Conduct CAN analysis, diagnostics analysis and develop proof of concept software algorithms. Interface with Tier1 automotive suppliers through technical design direction, technology roadmap and implementation details. Develop automation and stress test software and telematics communication interface messages.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or a related engineering field
7 years of experience in job offered or 7 years of experience performing automotive engineering
5 years of experience analyzing CAN logs and conducting CANoe simulation and automotive diagnostics
2 years of experience developing automotive software using C and Java
2 years of experience validating automotive Telematics applications
1 year of experience designing and performing failure mode effects and analysis of in vehicle system to meet ERA-GLONASS technical and compliance standards
1 year of experience implementing features using MQTT protocols and google protocol buffers
1 year of experience developing test automation scripts
1 year of experience developing Telematics protocol software
