Powertrain Application Engineer position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Apply exhaust gas temperature and particulate matter sensor components as cascaded through hardware architecture BOM to design the installation of core components and associated software to follow component SDS and installation guidance.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related engineering field
2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience managing thermal, electrical or mechanical engineering projects
2 years of experience designing packaging with CAD and DPA programs
2 years of experience performing NVH analysis
2 years of experience performing D&R and DVPR for diesel and gasoline engine exhaust systems
2 years of experience performing thermal analysis, including using emission components in relation to effect on controls, performance and diagnostics
In lieu of a master's degree, employer will accept a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated
1 year of experience implementing basic design and packaging requirements of advanced exhaust sensors
1 year of experience conducting design and release or packaging and design verification of Particulate Matter Sensors or NOx sensors
Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently
