Job Description Key Roles and Responsibilities include: Lead a team of engineers responsible for developing solutions and analyzing vehicle features for cyber security and privacy threats. Emphasis on Threat Modeling, Risk Management and Penetration testing type skills.
Understand both regulatory and insurance requirements around security
Manage and apply GTDS/GPDS cybersecurity deliverables
Manage progression of each feature through development to ensure security is built in to the design upfront
Support Cybersecurity Requirement Development
Ensure systems, features, components are designed using robust engineering processes including threat analysis, risk assessment, ties to functional safety, adoption of security requirements and DVMs, security audits and vehicle assessments
Triage, investigate, resolve and close out cyber security or privacy incidents internal to Ford
Manage and prioritize security budget, headcount, capital, expense and project portfolios for your section
Interface with external organizations on cross functional issues related to cyber security
Develop and utilize global supplier expertise to meet cyber security expectations
Provide management presentations for Program Milestones and Security Governance Board consideration
Experience with embedded systems various operating systems
Experience with reverse engineering and decryption, a plus
Hands-on experience programming in various languages

Strong understanding of cybersecurity design basics
Ability to attract, hire and retain key security expertise and grow organization, as necessary
Demonstrate capability of developing a cross functional team environment (team work and motivation)
Strong inter-personal skills, communication and leadership attributes
Ability to mentor non-cybersecurity peers
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required in Computer Science, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
3+ years’ experience of security or cyber security experience (e.g. secure coding, secure execution, wireless security design, security process development, penetration testing and rollout)
Preferred Experience:
Project management experience maintaining high level of focus and attention on key priorities, issue resolution, and milestone deliverables preferred
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Automotive experience desired
