Responsibilities:
Work with the quality organization and perform testing on returned transmissions, or components, due to pulls, warranty, and defects
Track concerns and review initial test results/data from all relevant test equipment
Provide quality analysis and assist garage in determining root cause, and document improvement actions to test equipment
Conduct a monthly review of all critical test points
Maintain completed Defect Testing Matrix for all test equipment
Assist Production and Quality departments in determining the root cause(s) of the top test stand rejects
Lead reject resolution meetings in addressing test stand top First Time Through (FTT) concerns
Provide Regress areas with a comprehensive suggested repair list
Assist Maintenance and Production in troubleshooting and repairing down test equipment. Investigate and implement corrective actions to address top availability issues (I.E. faults and downtime)
Maintain cycle times on test equipment ensuring stands are running at or below authorized cycle time
Support feasibility on product design changes and lead modifications and model code updates as required. Handle model additions, data base changes, test program and sequence changes; implement modifications of new parameters and limits
Assist technicians with calibration of test stand instrumentation per schedule
Maintain 'Challenge Part' for all test stand applications
Monitor part test status and assist Production with reaction to a rejected test
Use test stand test and quality tracking software (WMA) to monitor test stand FTT and stand to stand correlation
Devise and maintain a suggested repair and repair tree data base for the operators on the floor
Provide daily report with all Test FTT and status of top rejects prior to production meeting
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of PLC (controls) experience
1+ years of experience with Microsoft office products
Preferred Qualifications:
BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Certified 6-Sigma Black Belt
Applications experience in computers, electronics or programming
