To encourage students from around the world to launch innovative environmental projects, Volvo sponsors Volvo Adventure.
Recognizing Future Environmental Leaders
Volvo Adventure is an educational program that honors young people ages 13 to 16 who develop pro-environment projects online. The goal of the program is to increase the environmental expertise of tomorrow's decision makers and consumers.
After the projects are submitted, 15 projects are selected and the teams are invited to attend an all-expenses-paid awards conference in Gothenburg, Sweden.
During the conference, the teams present the projects to an international jury. The three best entries receive grants of $10,000, $6,000 and $4,000, respectively, to enable them to continue their environmental project.
